French Naval Saber Belt with Pistol Cartridge Pouch – late 18th and early 19th centuries

This is an authentic French Navy replica of the saber-belt, fitted on top with a small cartridge pouch intended carrying

Prussian Tornister, fresh from whe workbench. Cow hide with buff leather straps. Unlined. I can whiten the buff and line the bag upon request.

Getting my hands dirty on a Sunday afternoon before Christmas - completing the final orders of the year!

Blanket Roll carrying straps in Buff Leather.

Blankets were often carried independently from their knapsacks, as several period drawings and paintings show. These Blanket Carrying Straps are based on a British extant example.

British 1808 pouch and riflemen gear

Ordenanças - the unseen and unspoken backbone of the Portuguese army. Being the country's third line of defence, these levies were assembled locally, and could be mustered to fill the lines of militia or regular line infantry regiments.

I've been working almost non-stop for almost 2 months.

This model saw extensive use from the 1740's up to the 1770's, from the Jacobite Rebellion, 7 Year War and early American Revolutionary War, with modifications.
